Holds the lock firm but does not hold the shackle. The shackle will rattle a bit while riding.

I love the lock and it has been undefeated so far on the london streets... HOWEVER the mounting system is just not the one, it rattles away and takes away from a daily enjoyable commute. I it needs a more secure system and is a complete shame to have a great lock and terrible mount system

This mount is really a neat design.
I took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to mount it to my frame.
There was no description on how-to in the envelope but with a technically inclined mind
and spacial imagination it can be worked out without a video or similar.

Had a bit of difficulty mounting it to the seat tube. First go around it wasn't tight enough so the lock sloshed around a bit whilst riding, but I took it all apart and reinstalled it, using all of my might to pull the straps as tightly as possible before locking down with the hex bolt and that did the trick. Keep working at it and it'll stay put. Now the big test comes for my 120 mile ride next week!

It's a good mount, just please make it more clear that your locks come with this included. I ordered this mount separate and now have a spare mount I don't need.

The mount that came with my X1 is fine. The second mount I bought for my winter commuter has a flaw. one of the two little rubber pieces that holds the lock in place keeps popping off each time the lock is twisted out of the mount. I’ll have to glue it sometime so it stays put, otherwise I have to hold it in place each time I twist the lock out.
