Tested against the most D-locks on the market, LITELOK X1 is at least 5 times more resistant to angle grinder cuts. Additionally, X1 requires multiple discs to cut and due to its anti-rotation system, needs to be cut on both sides to remove.

It is a super hard ceramic composite material that repels angle grinder attacks and turns the grinder's energy and force in on itself. Frequently Asked Questions
Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available).
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium™ anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

I watched reviews on this lock and took the plunge for wanting an easily portable additional security device in my bike. Overall, the quality and value for money are brilliant. The lock easily stowed in my tail pack and has been easy to apply through my front wheel discs on my bike (Multistrada av4 Rally). Addition of using a chain to secure to an object gives additional flexibility. Whilst I use a number of security measures on my bike, this lock has been a valuable addition and is the first to be applied wherever I am stopped. Top job and a very happy customer.

I have had 3 bikes stolen over the past 10 years, and each time I "upgraded" to a better lock and/or chain...which end up being defeated again. Now that I have the Litelok X1, I am not concerned at all with having my bike stolen again because I have seen videos and testimonies on how much punishment it can take! The lock feels high quality in the hand and I can tell that the tooling tolerances at the manufactory are very lean with how snuggly everything fits together.

lighter than I thought they would be! which is good when carried in a backpack !!!. hopefully, in the future, it will receive a lifetime warranty, because of the build quality, I expect it will last a lot longer than 3 years and if used daily, I expect wear and tear will come into play at some point, great lock and I highly recommend !!!
