Tested against the most D-locks on the market, LITELOK X1 is at least 5 times more resistant to angle grinder cuts. Additionally, X1 requires multiple discs to cut and due to its anti-rotation system, needs to be cut on both sides to remove.

It is a super hard ceramic composite material that repels angle grinder attacks and turns the grinder's energy and force in on itself. Frequently Asked Questions
Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available).
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium™ anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

The Litelock X1 is as easy to use as any other lock, but knowing it's been thoroughly tested againt angle grinder attack and is so much better than most brings more piece of mind when storing or leaving my bike.
Its so portable I can also use use this to better protect my Ebike.
I still use my other locks, but I'm sure this is the one that will deter most thieves.
It might seem a bit of overkill, but it only takes a minute to put them, and as I've said, gives me piece of mind knowing my bike will still be there on my return. Thanks.

I now don't worry leaving by bike outside shops or at work or in the city as I have total trust in my Litelok, my e bike is worth 2000 GBP I have 2 locks on it and good luck if you can nick it. I have total faith in this British/Welsh product, I would leave my bike and worry about what I would find when I came back to it, now I don't bother, as I know I have done every thing I can to protect it, and my insurance seems also happy with that. Just for piece of mind its worth every penny, they are not cheep, but cheep stuff is cheep, but this is nether, I don't do second best. The lock feels very well made it gives me the confidence that my e-bike is safe and secure, the worry now is what you are attaching the lock to, I keep this lock in my small cycling rucksack, nice cover that comes with the lock, you may argue the price of the lock is expensive, however its worth it, if it was just to deter thieves, overall satisfied.

I’ve recently bought both X3 and X1 locks. Both are superb in quality and finish. The barrel of the locks work very smoothly and make them easy to use. Coating around the locks superb and prevents it from damaging my bike. The great thing about the locks too are that they are BRITISH made and therefore keeps manufacturing in Britain. Well done.
