Feels Amazing!
After several hours research on the web watching test videos, it seems quite obvious that the Litelok X3 is the strongest lock out there. I got some of the best U locks, but the LITELOK X3 is another level above. The construction is phenomenal, it feels massively sturdy, and after seeing the test videos, I feel very confident leaving my bike to go shopping and else, I love it and would feel as safe with anything else.

Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading D-locks as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling D-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X3 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

The Litelok x3 makes a very high-quality impression, which is also reinforced by its weight. The size of the bracket is comfortable to use on the bicycle frame as well. After initial snags when closing, the locking mechanism appears to have worked in. What I don't quite understand, however, are the open holes on the lock bolt (see picture). Apart from the appearance, there is a risk of internal contamination and the ingress of water. The open holes at the front invite you to drill in, but hopefully that won't work. Two simple plastic caps would upgrade the lock.
I did not do a stress test with a diamond angle grinder 😊

A bit of a late review, as I purchased this lock back in May 2024, but it’s definitely earned it.
After having my motorcycle stolen, I decided to invest in the Litelok X3—and nearly two years later, after three motorcycle tours and regular daily use, I can honestly say it’s been worth every penny. The build quality is excellent, and more importantly, it gives real peace of mind.
I’ve consistently felt confident leaving my bike in a wide range of locations, knowing the X3 is securing it through the front wheel of my Tracer. It also loops neatly through the grab handles, which makes it really practical to use day-to-day.
I’ve recently picked up a bicycle as well and living in London, security is always a concern—but having the X3 means I’m just as confident locking that up too.
Overall, a seriously solid investment and one I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I've given the lock a full 5 stars because, let's face it, it's a stunning piece of engineering and anything that more or less fully stymies the effectiveness of the workshy scrotes out daily trying to steal another person's pride and joy, deserves a medal and every award there is.
It makes me truly sad that I have to report an issue with the lock in that unfortunately it doesn't have enough length on the D (ooo er) for me to be able to effectively place it through the back wheel and the frame of my bike and still have enough play to get it around a typical locking point/pole.
Due to the rims on my (and I'm sure many others') bikes, I basically need to swop it for an X3 plus, which unfortunately doesn't exist yet, because the available clearance once it's around the rear tyre and frame upright is tiny and impossible to lock it to anything of useful thickness (see my extremely professional attached video)
So I now have something of a dilemma as to what to do with it unfortunately, as it's a lot of wedge to have dropped to have an item that I can't fully effectively use and I don't really want to be using it to just lock the frame.
So my question to Neil Barron is, when is the X3 plus making an appearance and may I swap it when it lands? :D

I bought this lock after watching a u-tube video on the increase in UK bike theft. It arrived within a couple of days and was well packaged and instantly felt like a quality product coming with two keys and a nice neoprene case for protection in the paniers.
My bike is a Moto Guzzi V7 850 Special and the lock fits nicely around one front fork leg and through the front wheel.
I have fitted it in the garage and am yet to try it when out and about, but I'm sure it will give me great peace of mind when leaving the bike in a public place.
