Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium™ that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium™ meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X3 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

I’ve been using the Litelok and honestly it’s lighter than carrying a chain, which is a big plus. Feels really solid and gives me peace of mind.
Only thing is I do wish they made it a bit longer for motorbikes, sometimes it’s a bit limiting depending on where you’re locking up.
Overall though, I’d still take this over a heavy chain any day

I can’t explain how much more of a peace of mind this litelok X 3 gives me. I know that I can leave my bike in the heart of Liverpool and it will still be there when I get back. Am now considering getting another one for the front wheel also. I think real bike thieves know the quality of the litelok and know it’s would take about 8 grinder discs and more than one battery and use to much time just on one lock. It’s been the best investment by far. And has made a huge difference with my bike insurance. 5* All day long

I bought the X3 for my new Yamaha Tracer 9GT, I worked hard to afford this bike and i don't want any scrote to obtain it for nothing, and I reckon the X3 Moto should help to stop anyone taking my hard earned bike. In the garage I use it in conjunction with a heavy duty chain and ground anchor ,and on the road its used with the chain to give optimum security, hopefully in the near future I'll buy another one , as part of a layered system

The quality of the lock seems top notch. It is sturdy and having studied the reviews where experts have tried to break/remove the lock as if attempting to steal the bike, I feel certain that the opportunist thief will give up and find an easier target.
Ease of use - or rather which motorcycles will it fit. So far my X3 has been tried on 3 motorcycles:
* My 2016 H-D Road King with allow wheels - it would fit through the holes in one brake disc and around the alloy wheel but the gap in the "spokes" of the alloy are too narrow near the hub for it to pass though both discs. See 1st Video and the photos.
* A 2024 Moto Guzzi Stelvio with spoked wheels, the lock won't fit through the brake disc in any alignment that allowed it be locked, it did fit round the front tyre but this tyre has over 9,000 miles on it so I can’t say it would fit over a new tyre. See 2nd Video.
* A BMW GS 1250 where the owner reported back that he hadn't been able to get it to fit.
We can report that the X1 Moto will fit the Guzzi and the BMW going through both discs on each bike, so from this I conclude that the X3 lock body has a slightly bigger diameter than the X1. Note: The Guzzi & BMW owners are going to by X1 Motos for their bikes :-)
My advice is find mates that have an X1 or X3 and try before you buy to make sure you have the right one. I recommend getting your bike in the open as you may need to experiment with how it can fit or sometimes how it doesn’t. Or you’ll need to google and find…

I have a Yamaha Tracer 9GT and the Litelock can only fit the front wheel one way and one way only, oweing to the small gaps available on the front brake discs and the ABS, the only way it fits is to go through the wheel and over the tyre, which is a struggle as it's a very tight fit, as you can see from the photos.

It's not very big... but it fits a BMW R1300GS at the front (normally at the front so wheel plus rim). And even at the back by taking rim and disc..!
