Lock Cylinder
X1 features a high-quality lock cylinder which is durable and pick-resistant. The keyhole is protected from dirt, dust and moisture with our innovative self-sealing silicone keyhole cover.
Reflective Strips
X1 locks are finished with Quartz White retro-reflective vinyl strips along the lock shackle and on the X's at each end. The reflective strips flash in headlights to keep you safe and seen.

Tested against the most D-locks on the market, LITELOK X1 is at least 5 times more resistant to angle grinder cuts. Additionally, X1 requires multiple discs to cut and due to its anti-rotation system, needs to be cut on both sides to remove.

Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.
Can I attach LITELOK X1 to my bike?
LITELOK X1 is sold with an innovative Twist & Go mount for mounting the lock on your bike frame. The universal quick-release Twist & Go mount fits any bike style and firmly holds X1 in place even on rough surfaces for rattle-free riding.
If you don’t want to use the Twist & Go mount, we have a lock holster solution. We’ve collaborated with Restrap, another great British brand, to create a Lock Holster, which is available as an optional extra for £14.99.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available).
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium™ anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

I use this for a Brompton. I was very insecure about using any lock that could be cut through in 1-20 seconds. Adding this lock to my security arsenal (LITELOK X1 for Frame and rear wheel + Cheaper U Lock for front wheel + Cable for seatpost+ hidden GPS Tracker + GPS Warning Stickers + VERY loud Alarm) really gave me the final piece of the equation necessary to have a sense of security for leaving the bike unattended. The lock is very nice, has a soft coating, feels STRONG, and the bag it came in smells really good as an added bonus haha. I appreciate the keyhole cover and registration process for keys in case I need more copies in the future.

Could use a wee bit more length for my mountain bike; I can't get the frame, back wheel, and whatever I'm locking to all in so I usually just lock the frame. I use a second, cheap u-lock for the front wheel when locking overnight.
Lock operates smoothly and coating seems good.
No-one has tried cutting it so who knows? Do indestructible discs get destroyed or just standard cutoff wheels?

After many happy years with a Litelok gold I treated myself to an X1. Now don’t get me wrong the gold was a superb piece of kit and if Litelok had not released the X1 it would still be my lock of choice.
so after placing my order I keenly awaited its arrival. I placed the order at about 2pm on a thursday and by the next morning (09:30) it was in my hands, amazing.
The lock came with a natty carry bag & fixing mount, very easy to attach to frame.
Not much to say about the lock itself to be honest.
IT DOES ITS JOB!
My only fear is whether what it is locked to is as tough as the lock, otherwise I confidently leave my bike in a secure state.

The lock itself is amazing. The high quality in the workmanship and materials is obvious. The only issue is the lock mount---it works well on a round frame (as per the videos), but unfortunately is not compatible to my cannondale frame. Would have been perfection if it came with alternative mounts to choose from.
